Why This District is Walkable

When it comes to traveling in Chinatown Yaowarat, most people choose walking as their primary option—whether for shopping, finding restaurants at night, sightseeing, or daily life. However, walking typically occurs on main routes familiar to everyone, such as Yaowarat Road, Ratchawong Road, Vanich 1 Road, or Sampeng Lane.

In reality, Chinatown Yaowarat has many more alleys and lanes that house important buildings, serve as shortcuts, and connect various areas of Chinatown Yaowarat, the Chao Phraya River, and metro stations.
